We’re not your usual marketing company.  In fact, we don’t even like the word marketing, but we figured we had to give you something to hold on to. We use things like a quick and biting wit, the element of surprise and an eye for talent and beauty to light our path through the jungle of oversaturated branding.  We can do cool things on a tight budget.  We figure you can do a lot with a little, and sometimes less is more... but don’t worry, we could rock your big bankroll, too.  We can’t sum up who we are in one sentence, but if we tried, we’d say something like, “The Academy of Archivists is an independent modern resource working outside of traditional lines for companies, brands and artists in the creative fields.” And if we had to make a list of what we do, we’d mention digital solutions, virtual identities, event planning, marketing (there’s that word again!) and branding, art direction, and visual research, to name a few. Making it’s way around the top music sites, the track is already being lauded as one of the most original remixes of the year. He holds two degrees, one in Classical Music Theory/Composition as well as one in German from San Francisco State University, having also studied at the Conservatory for Music in Trossingen, Germany. After returning from Europe to his west-coast musical roots, he launched two bands- Foreign Born, which has released two EPs and two albums, as well as Fool’s Gold, which has released one single and one album, all of which on reputable independent labels. When home from a busy touring schedule, Lewis lives in Los Angeles, writing and producing music for his bands, friend’s bands and for Black Iris.About Black Iris:With studios in NY, LA and VA, Black Iris is a talented collective of musicians rooted in the independent music scene, providing original compositions and scores for advertising, tv, film and entertainment content.
